Since 2018, Jay Feghali has been consulting with IFES as Senior Programme Liaison – Civil Society and Intersectionality on projects in Lebanon. In 2021, he also led IFES’ research on “The Status of Women with Disabilities in Lebanon: A Snapshot of Socio-Political and Economic Impacts from an Intersectional Lens.”

Jay holds over 18 years of humanitarian sectoral experience, specializing in impactful program design, management, and monitoring across diverse issues. His strong regional expertise extends across several countries in the MENA, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, where he has led large-scale programs in complex environments such as Syria, Lebanon, Greece, Ukraine, and Sri Lanka.

Beyond program management, Jay is an expert in gender and GBV, masculinities, disability, and protection, with a particular focus on intersectionality. This expertise extends to his freelance work, where he has partnered with the UN, NGOs, government agencies, and a US hybrid tech company building innovative translation and journalism tools. He has also collaborated with NGOs and media to combat fraud and corruption, developing self-training manuals to strengthen ethical practices within media institutions.
